Astraea tecta / Lithopoma tectum;

We offer 3 sizes of Astrea Snails: XL, Regular, and XS. As often as possible, we will send snails of any size that actually have some coralline algae on it. Bonus coral!

Their care is easy, and they are hardy, making them a great beginner snail! Astreas are completely reef safe herbivores and scavengers. Their diet ranges from cyanobacteria and diatoms to hair, brown, green, and filamentous algae on rock work and glass. If your aquarium is completely devoid of algae (congrats!) then they will also feed on leftover fish food or algae sheets/wafers. While more active at night, you will still see them hanging out in your aquarium during the day.
