Our favorite snail due to its hardiness, ease of care, and it being a clean-up powerhouse! This snail often fills in the gaps that others leave behind. They feed on detritus, uneaten foods, fish waste, diatoms, and various types of algae. Ceriths also like to burrow in the sand, which helps to oxygenate the substrate. We've seen them spend time burying themselves in the sand near the glass, making Ceriths a great option to clean the algae line that often forms between the glass/sand. Know that when they arrive, they may take up to 24 hours to open up and become active.
