These jellyfish are known for living their lives upside down, peacefully farming and ingesting algae in their tentacles. Upside Down Jellies actually don't prefer the traditional jellyfish tanks, and providing care is very simple. They enjoy warm water and tanks with wide, flat bottoms, where they can sit and pulse. This helps to mimic their natural environment of a shallow muck-bottomed lagoon. A ten gallon aquarium with a divider between the filter and the jellies is typically enough to keep them happy. 

Because they have a symbiotic relationship with zooxanthellae algae, these jellies will need full spectrum lighting and occasional supplemental feedings of meaty foods and foods for filter feeders.
