Astraea phoebia

Ninja Star Astrea are found in the same place that their Regular Astrea cousins, and behave nearly identically. Their care is easy, and they are hardy, making them a great beginner snail! Ninja Star Astreas are completely reef safe herbivores and scavengers. Their diet ranges from cyanobacteria and diatoms to hair, brown, green, and filamentous algae on rock work and glass. If your aquarium is completely devoid of algae (congrats!) then they will also feed on leftover fish food or algae sheets/wafers. While more active at night, you will still see them hanging out in your aquarium during the day.
